Alayna and Sabrina's praises (6.16.10)

Good afternoon all!  I wanted to share some weekend activity with you.  Destiny just forwarded an update, which is below, but first a little preface.

Destiny's good friend Sherri's daughter Alayna had an accident a couple of weeks ago that had paralyzed her legs, hands, ab muscles, amongst others.  The circulation of veins in her spinal cord had been cut off.  She needed an overhaul.  She is only 10 years old! Destiny was able to pray with her a few days after the accident, and saw improved movement as she prayed.  A group of us planned to go pray again last weekend...to administer another dose from the true Healer!  So Kevin, Julie, Destiny and I drove downtown to TIRR.  During the hour that we prayed and worshiped there in her hospital room, she began to move her arms and legs in ways that she hadn't been able to yet.  In fact, while we were singing 'Healer', Alayna could feel sensations in the affected section of her spine and said she felt like someone was queezing her right leg (the most affected one).  The coolest part was that toward the end when we were praying for her mom, Alayna was so full of joy and excitement and was just wiggling in her bed.  She kept giggling and saying that she felt like she was being tickled.  And then she sat up!  All by herself, for the first time since the accident, she used her abdominal muscles to sit up...and this from a position where her feet had been inclined. That's hard enough to do with healthy abs!

Well, this whole time, Sabrina and her mom Diana, neither of whom we'd met yet, had been on the other side of the curtain in the shared room.  Before leaving, we stepped around to ask if we could pray for her.  We were told that the two main problems were being unable to use the restroom and unable to control the left leg.  During a short time of prayer, she lifted her left leg for the first time since being there!

And now, check out this report from Destiny! :

"I got a call from Sherri yesterday [Sunday, the day after we prayed with them]. She said there was MAJOR activity in Alayna's right leg! She is lifting it up and holding it. Major breakthrough! She was requesting us to pray for her hands again. And Julie, because you kept saying do not receive the negative words by others to Sherri a few times. She really noticed it and she was able to recognize and immediately stop those lies yesterday!!! Rock on Jesus!!!

Also the girl next door to her [Sabrina] reported that she was able to use the bathroom for the first time yesterday!!! Go God!!!!

Thank You Jesus!! You are GOOD!!! Blessings everyone! Ttyl..."

Pretty awesome, huh?  We also prayed for a few others briefly...wish we'd had hours with each.  I look forward to going back.
